Designing the UX of smarter plant care.
Krado is an IoT-driven platform that helps people care for their plants through real-time data, personalized guidance, and intuitive tools. From soil sensors to mobile apps, the ecosystem connects plants with people in a whole new way.

We worked with Krado to redesign their entire digital experience—from onboarding and sensor setup to navigation systems and dashboard logic.

The Opportunity

Krado had a working hardware prototype and a vision for modern plant care—but needed a user experience that could make the invisible feel effortless.

Our task: help users set up sensors, understand plant health metrics, and build confidence through clear, delightful interactions. We focused on clarity, comfort, and delight in equal measure.

What we delivered

MobileUX / UI

Designing the Interaction Layer

The core challenge was making environmental sensor data human-readable. We simplified navigation through a clean, icon-driven language and designed dynamic feedback to help users understand and act on their plant’s needs—without having to read a manual.

We also introduced a flexible architecture for tagging locations, switching between multiple plants, and tracking trends over time.

Onboarding Experience

Our onboarding flow was built to remove friction at every step. Whether pairing sensors, assigning plant types, or choosing room locations, the system guides users with clarity—so they feel successful before the first watering reminder even lands.

Interactive microstates, animations, and subtle haptics create a calm but responsive rhythm to the app.

Outcomes

Krado now delivers a clean, intuitive experience that helps users feel like better plant parents, even if they’ve never kept a succulent alive before. The design system is scalable, brandable, and flexible enough to support future features like garden automation, social sharing, and smart recommendations.
